A couple months back I was so excited to hit 100,000 subscribers but as I got closer and closer, the excitement waned as it started to feel more and more empty. As I was thinking about why that might be the case, I realized that the bigger numbers mean nothing. Instead, what means everything and what I really cherish are the people that I met along the way. The reason the saying “the joy is in the journey” is a cliché is because it’s true. I never really totally understood what that meant until now, while I’m incredibly grateful for the one hundred thousand plus supporter, that’s not what’s really important to me, what’s important other people that I met along the way.
The way that some people have shown their support, the people that are in every single live-stream or comments on every single video.
The people that support me every day and have supported me to get here. The memories of meeting so many new people and making so many new friends. That’s what 100k means to me.
While I’m excited to grow this number to 1 million, and then 2 and then 10 and so on, it’s not about the millions, it’s about the people I meet along the way.
Going forward, every time I look at this plaque, I’ll be reminded of how grateful I am for the help from my God and the support from all of the people that helped me get here.
See you at a million!
